“I love the look of the blouse and wanted something fitted to wear with my high waisted pants, something with un petit quelque chose.
It was the first time I used bust darts. It is so flattering.

I wanted to knit the POISON GRRLS patterns for a while but I was afraid of them! It was silly of me: they are well written, not complicated and fun to knit. I feel more confident to knit bottom up tops now. I used to avoid them but they are just as easy to knit than a top down jumper.
Now I have a superbe blouse with vintage vibes on it.
I hope more knitters will discover this designer and I definitely encourage knitters to have a go at these POISON GRRLS patterns!”

“I chose this pattern because I like short sleeve sweaters and vintage ones at that! My favorite part of knitting it was that it was never boring, as I was rather new to process when I did it. It. I have since, completed many many Poison Grrls tops--all different. As this was my first one, and I've learned a lot since I created it, I plan to make it again very soon. The instructions were impeccable, and that's from the opinion of an English teacher. I believe whoever tested this was very articulate with questions because as I went through it, my questions were answered if I just trusted the process. I'm always learning new techniques, especially with Poison Grrls patterns. For this one it was the popcorning. Love it! So fun. The finished product turned out well, exactly how it should, but, as it was my first Poison Grrls sweater, I learned about my preferences as well. After making this sweater I always add two or 3 in of length to the bodies now. I would recommend this pattern to any knitter who is looking for a project that is never tedious or boring. Experience level-- intermediate or advanced beginner. You have to be willing to get frustrated and try that popcorn again when it's too loose. :)”

“My friend is a rockabilly through and through and this just looked like the perfect garment for her. She loves red and black, too, so I chose this gorgeous red colour. She absolutely loves it, it fits great, and she said she particularly likes the little triangle details on it that make it different.

I, personally, enjoyed making it because I had never done that kind of construction before, starting with the lace part and building the shoulders. It was really interesting and very well explained. I had no trouble at all despite it being new to me. A great pattern that I have already knit a second time in cotton and may well do again in another colour. The cotton isn't quite as nice because it doesn't hold its shape as well, but still a great pattern.”
