the “Lucky” Bandana!
Some pieces never go out of style.
For generations, a simple bandana has been tied over curled hair, knotted around a neck, tucked into a back pocket, and thrown on before hitting the road. It's practical, a little rebellious, and one of those accessories that somehow always feels right.
The Lucky Bandana is our take on that everyday classic!
Knit from less than one skein of fingering-weight yarn, it features delicate eyelet bands, a sweet picot edge, and a timeless triangular shape that's just as at home in cool cotton for sunny days as it is in cozy wool when the weather turns.
One Pattern, Endless Possibilities
One of our favorite things about the Lucky Bandana is how much personality comes from simply changing the yarn.
Our first sample was knit in lightweight cotton for warm summer afternoons. Then we cast on another in wool using leftover sock yarn scraps, and it became something completely different. Same pattern. Same stitches. A whole new look.
That's the kind of project we love most—the one that makes you start thinking about the next color before you've even woven in the ends, and gives you more value in the pattern knowing you can make it more than once.
Small Project, Big Style
The top-down construction with a garter tab cast on, eyelets and picot edge to add just enough vintage charm to make it feel special. We've even included a quick video tutorial for the picot bind-off.
Wear It Your Way
Tie it over your hair, knot it at your neck, wrap one around your ponytail, or make a matching version for someone you love—even your four-legged sidekick.
Like your favorite worn-in leather jacket or that perfect swipe of red lipstick, some accessories become part of your story. We hope the Lucky Bandana is one of them.
